Sorry if this is a newbie question
I have installed Observium on a fresh Ubuntu 11.10 installation. Everything has gone absolutely perfectly. I used apt-get and installed all of the required packages as per the Ubutu installation page.
It is running OK and has discovered the devices on my network. However, there is no information on any graphs. Not a single one.
All the ports are correctly detected and it reading IP addresses and arp caches and most other information including CDP.
No information on any graph and some are simply saying draw error.
Syslog is reporting the cron jobs setup as per the instructions (below) are running without error. 33 */6 * * * root /opt/observium/discovery.php -h all >> /dev/null 2>&1 */5 * * * * root /opt/observium/discovery.php -h new >> /dev/null 2>&1 */5 * * * * root /opt/observium/poller.php -h all >> /dev/null 2>&1 Help appreciated.

You probably missed something in the installation guide.
Try running the poller with -d "./poller.php -h all -d" and seeing if the output gives any useful clues.

thanks - that sorted it.
When I went back to cron to check it found a typo ( -h new instead of -h all). Apologies to you but thanks for pointing me toward the problem area.
As I said - newbie :-!

When following such instructions, always copy/paste. The human brain is fairly shot at replication.

Yes - I usually do. I hadn't installed VMware tools so I was too eager - my bad.

apt-get install openssh-server and go from there, much much easier ;-)
Glad you got it to work!
