We don't have any ESXi systems to test. The question is, does VMWare correctly identify the new version? If so, we probably don't update correctly. The ESX code has been broken for a while and has recently been fixed up a little, there may still be bugs.

I'm working on an automatic test suite which should catch such things in the future, but I'm not done by a long shot ;-)
