Hi All, Does Observium have the capabilities to monitor and alert when file systems grow above a certain threshold? Say 80% full?
I didn't see this in the documentation.
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
The new alerting system allows you to generate alerts based on storage percentage free.

Thanks Adam! Can you specify different mount points or pools? We have a Solaris ZFS server with about 10-15 different pools that all have different quotas set. We need to be able to monitor the individual pools and their quota and be alerted if they exceed a certain threshold.

With some fiddling you can do this with storage_descr and hostname matching.
Though, the whole purpose of the new schema is so you can cover a lot of things in one go without manual stuff. You'll probably find that if you try to maintain different thresholds, no one will ever update them.

What about configuring all windows devices? For example my linux machines I would like to know about 80% capacity, but for windows (workstations and such) I need to know closer to 90. I tried to set os eq windows which doesn¹t pull anything. After doing a little research the OS comes up with Microsoft Windows Server or Microsoft Windows versionŠ Several different ways. Is there a way to encompass everything microsoft or windows?

I spoke too soon, in case anyone else was ignorant like myself. In the /includes/definitions/os.inc.php file there is a complete list of os variables to use.
