Hi all Recently we purchased some DWDM devices from Pandacom (SPEED-OTS-5000). Might be interesting for more than us to have them in observium. Is there a way for a non-programmer like me to add those devices? What I can provide are the MIB files. If access to a device is needed for testing I'd like to use my contact at Pandacom
Cheers, Andre
Hi Andre,
"a non-programmer like me" is a very vague definition. So the question cannot really be answered in a meaningful way.
Depending on the device and its MIBs it could be done fairly easily, or very hard with a lot of custom code that needs to be written.
Knowledge of SNMP is a requirement, though.

Hi,
I would also like to have PanDacom support added to Observium and can supply you with attached MIB Files. These are the MIB Files from one of our devices. Every plug-in card has its own MIB, therefore I am afraid it would be tough to add full support.
But I think basic support for their chassis would be a good start. Unfortunately I also lack the skills to add it :(
Regards, Siegfried

Hi
I'd also like to have support for PanDacom devices as we have one Speed-Carrier-1U chassis with some linecards in use.
Best, Thomas

We don't have access to any of these devices, so it's difficult to add support for them, especially since they apparently don't have consistent MIBs!
