Devices are polled broadly in the order they’re added (device_id), this is to prevent things bouncing around and making sure things are polled at roughly the same point in each 5 minute poller cycle.

This helps keep cleaner graphs by keeping the data insertion period as close to 300s as possible to match the rrd step.
