Observium Geolocation Not as Manual Configuration in Config.php
Hi,
I manually config geolocation as below details.
// Geocoding Setting
$config['geocoding']['enable'] = TRUE; // Enable Geocoding
$config['geocoding']['api'] = 'google'; // Which GEO API use ('mapquest', 'google', 'yahoo', 'openstreetmap', 'yandex')
$config['geocoding']['api_key'] = 'sjfasdjhfdsjlkfjsdjfaldj'; // API KEY if required
$config['geocoding']['default']['lat'] = '13.0731060'; // Default latitude
$config['geocoding']['default']['lon'] = '80.1937312'; // Default longitude
Why it wont follow my manual configuration in config.php?All my devices are all over the world.
Really appreciate if someone can assist me on this.

I expected once the manual coordinate being locked it will followed the config.php with us without us to re-entered the Manual coordinates for each devices.I just think it will perform like that even all data being pulled from the snmp.

That means I need to set it manually and let the poller do the job to sync it as I set?

I have run into this issue in the past, my solution was to delete the geolocation data out of the SQL database (to force a refresh) which worked completely fine for us, although I’d be lying if I said I’m 100% sure it won’t have a detrimental effect in your environment – someone else may be able to confirm that.

It will be in the devices_locations table, it was a while ago that I did this but looking at my CLI history I believe all I did was set the location_lat and location_lon columns to NULL value. Take a backup of your database before trying this, I could be horrendously wrong ☺ .

Just looked at some old posts I made to this mailing list – turns out I tried setting them all to NULL and it didn’t work. What I actually ended up doing was deleting all the rows from the table which forced a refresh. In your case, you will need to make a query that leaves locations that have been manually specified, or else you will need to re-specify all the manual devices.
