Authentication level to hide device configs?

Hi Adam (and the other devs)
We have a few upper level helpdesk users that I gave global read access to (7) via LDAP groups. However we also have RANCID integration enabled, and I'd really like it if there were a way to disable those users from being able to see the configs.
Maybe another security level? 7 - Global read no configs, 8 - Global read with configs?
I assume this wouldn't be a trivial change, but if you could stuff it into the "feature request" pile I'd really appreciate it.
