Automated CSV/XCL/etc Traffic Billing Report?

I was looking at the Traffic Billing piece and was curious to know if there is a way to setup an automated monthly report for each individual "customer" that is listed under that area? I dont seem to find anything at the moment. Would be cool to automate that and shoot out the raw data, in addition to the graphs for each individual "customer" on a monthly basis to whatever email address(s) specified. Would that ever be a feature or does anyone know how it could be accomplished?

I haven't really used either the API or the billing system in Observium but you could probably knock up a script that used the JSON interface to fetch the data, parse it, link it to a customer/service, format and send.

Thanks for the response, Cameron. I'll have to look at that potential option. I dont really see any modules or anything that would allow for reporting, however. How is everyone leveraging the billing module if they cant pull a report off of it?

At the moment there are no real reporting features in the billing system.
It was originally written by me to allow sales people to get a quick view of who was over/under their utilisation on a site with a modest number of customers.
Adding features to it is a relatively low priority as it's not really used by any major donors to the project.
(the billing stuff would probably be one of the first things to go non-free, were we to go that direction, as it'd take a lot of time and effort to bring it to a decent level of quality and maintain it)

Understandable. I appreciate the response, Adam. I spun Observium up this week and it is fantastic, as well as easy, to work with. On Sep 7, 2013, at 11:00 AM, Adam Armstrong adama@memetic.org wrote:
