hi,
We are very pleased by the use of the subscription version so far. At the moment we are monitoring 3.600 ports and have around 5000 alerts but the goal is to reach around 40.000 ports. Will this be a problem? I already see cpu load whenever i add a host with over 500 ports that is not evenly distributed if increase the cores of my machine. Please advise and keep up the great work.

Hi Ilias,
40,000 ports is quite high, but should be attainable with the correct hardware.
You need to scale resources in the server to match the workload, Observium is very heavily i/o dependent, and then CPU dependent. You may want to move the RRDs to either a large ramdisk or to SSD storage. Beware SSDs failing, though.
You /do not/ want to run an installation this large on a VM, as the i/o overhead will be significant.
