Hey,
Just wondering anyone using brocade here? We are planing to add some of these devices to our network, but I would like to know how good snmp support on these devices.

Hi Nikolay,
I'm using it with DC6910 switches, I just had to update a line of code somewhere inside of observium to allow it to detect the switches.
Not much SNMP support so far other than counters on interfaces, also I've not been able to figure out how to get the description of interfaces showing in observium, I believe this is something to do with the code running on the Brocade DC6910's themselves as they're not a standard foundry software image.
Regards,
Daniel

Daniel,
We actually also looking into 6910 for testing. But it's kinda sad, that snmp support pretty much weak. And interfaces description doesn't work, wtf, I though IF-MIB pretty much exist in every devices.
Regarding code on 6910, yeah I've noticed too that feature navigator doesn't even contain this model.

I've forwarded this back to my contacts @ Brocade and hopefully we'll see some action on it as the DC6910's are a really good fit for some environments, especially mine :)
I suspect they are re-badged Edge-Core switches. http://www.edge-core.com/ProdDtl.asp?sno=GJILKP

Hi,
new to Observium. Working fine for me :-)
We use Brocade 6910 quiet a lot, but in Observium they are not well supported or even recognized. An one here who can help? I could provide access to one of your switches if needed.
cheers, Swen

I've got Observium monitoring a number of NetIron & FastIron devices with solid results, pretty much everything works. The only notable exception is the prefix graphs for BGP peers, I started to fix that the other day but was sidetracked.
I have a 6910 that I can test with. I can see how it goes but I expect it should be ok.

I use Observium with Brocade CER devices, seems to work well.
