Hi All,
First off all observium rocks :)
I'm using observium for the testing purpose the CE version and I want to test the api but i get no result back in de data login is succeeded.
api.php?username=[me]&password=idonttell&module=inventory&device=71
And the result is {"login":{"success":{"code":"101","msg":"User authentification succeeded"}},"data":[]}
And yes the device is pressent
--SNIP-- rrdtool graph /tmp/t21fHtvFkNKxDMW5.png -g --alt-autoscale-max --rigid -E --start 1391802941 --end 139188934
--SNIP--
php version PHP 5.4.4-14+deb7u7 restclient from philsturgeon codeigniter 2.1.4

Hi all,
I know that possible the CE version is nonsupporting by you guys but at least you can answer the question because if people don't get any answer its sounds a bit rather rude. Before we gonna get the subscribe version we like to know if observium meets the specs we need.

The API (which is not written by us, and is absolutely unsupported in all forms), seems only to provide data for Linux/Unix systems from the hrDevices table. It doesn't pull cisco or other devices inventory from ENTITY-MIB.
Also, throwing a hissy fit when you don't get an immediate answer is, well, a bit rather rude.

Thnks adam,
Your wright about the hissy fit sorry :)
I understand that the API is not pulling any data from cisco or other devices i only put the rrd to give more info that everything is working only the API doesn't return any data. Based on the info you give us we now know that we must write our own API functions to let it work for our needs.
