Hello,
I want to create an alert that informs me, when the network traffic on a mysql-database ("Application_mysql_network_traffic") on below a certain treshold. What I really want to see is if the mysqld process is running or not and I try to achieve this by looking at this stat which will be zero when mysqld has been terminated.
I did not find any information on how to create alerts for apps in the official documentation.
Does anyone has a hint for me how to to that?
Many thanks and best regards, Marc
Hi,
At present you can't alert on any data in the apps system.
The apps stuff is something of a long running mistake. It was designed before we had alerting, so it doesn't fit with the way we do alerting.
I have some plans to make it work, but it's sort of low priority, and will probably requiring re-engineering all of the existing apps.
Adam.
