Hello!
we have a bunch of Lexmark printers spread around the entire company. We are looking for a software to monitor the remaining toner capacity. I have tested Observium. A real nice software. However we got only the typical information like CPU, storage or RAM usage. No information about toner. Question: Is the support of Lexmark printers on the road map?
Thank you for feedback. Regards Jama

Hi Jama,
We support a lot of printers already, no lexmarks at this point.
We don't have a roadmap for this, but adding support may not be hard, if the printer support Jetdirect-MIB.
Is your printer currently detected as Generic?
Can you check if the following produces data:
snmpwalk -v1 -c <yourcommunity> <yourprinter> 1.3.6.1.2.1.43.11.1.1.3

Hi Tom, thank you for your replay.
Is your printer currently detected as Generic?
Yes, it is - with a question mark as a symbol.
Can you check if the following produces data: snmpwalk -v1 -c <yourcommunity> <yourprinter> 1.3.6.1.2.1.43.11.1.1.3
This is the output what I get:
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.43.11.1.1.3.1.1 = INTEGER: 1 SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.43.11.1.1.3.1.2 = INTEGER: 2 SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.43.11.1.1.3.1.3 = INTEGER: 3 SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.43.11.1.1.3.1.4 = INTEGER: 4 SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.43.11.1.1.3.1.5 = INTEGER: 0 SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.43.11.1.1.3.1.6 = INTEGER: 0 SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.43.11.1.1.3.1.7 = INTEGER: 0 SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.43.11.1.1.3.1.8 = INTEGER: 0 SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.43.11.1.1.3.1.9 = INTEGER: 0

Hi Jama,
Can you send me the output of
snmpwalk -v1 -c <yourcommunity> <yourprinter> sysDescr snmpwalk -v1 -c <yourcommunity> <yourprinter> sysObjectID
I'll see if I can add a lexmark printer type for support, you should have your toners then.
(Paid version, to be clear)

Hi Jama,
I've committed support for this printer (and others) to Observium.
