Hi,
I'm receiving a false alarm notification about a device which rebooted where in fact the device did not actually reboot. Do we have observium logs where i can look more about the details? or is there a work around to prevent such occurrences?
/Notification that i received:// /

I get these fairly often, its pretty damn annoying :)
I think (I haven't confirmed yet) it might be something to do with a counter looping over on some of our devices regarding uptime.
I don't see it for any servers, always for firewalls/routers/switches.
Cheers, James.
Lots of devices simply aren't capable of sending an accurate uptime, because they use small counters which loop.
It shouldn't be an issue on Linux with the agent or on Cisco.

Hi,
hehe.. it issue from your snmpengine (Net-SNMP).
Your snmp agent reports this values for uptime: sysUpTime.0 = 58:9:54:31.43 equals: 58 days, 9h 54m 31.43s
hrSystemUptime.0 = 2:8:03:28.89 equals: 2 days, 8h 3m 28.89s
snmpEngineTime.0 = 7292573 equals: 84 days, 9h 42m 53s
I think you need to update net-snmp. Or use unix agent (then uptime will be taken from uptime cmd).
