Hi All
Since 26.3 I nolonger can poll the ports of the internal switch of all my Cisco 892FSP-K9 routers. When running the poller.php script I see:
Module [ entity-physical ] time: 0.0006s Module [ applications ] time: 0.0001s FDB Tables ERROR: Device does not support per-VLAN community. Module [ fdb-table ] time: 1.0148s
Poller in debug mode outputs an error on updating the rrd:

Funny thing is that it happens to all of them (42 routers) at the same time ... Therefore I don not really thing its a issue with the devices...
It does not happen on 881, 886, 887 and also not on 892 and 892F ... I could find it only on 892FSP
Any more info I can provide?

Hi Adam
You are certainly right that these devices return BS. I set up a new one in the lab with very minimal config, basically only a IP on vlan1 and snmp settings. Same result... this suggests to me that they always returned BS in the past. Do you see any change that happened in the Observium code that now reacts to those wrong values? Just curious why it worked in the past.
I have opened a case with Cisco TAC.

Hi Adam,
I am a CE user and monitor my 892FSP-K9 since November 2014 without any trouble. So at least with the last CE edition it is working well.
I have a lot of stuff configured on this 892FSP: Two ADSL Lines One FTTH line via SFP module A bunch of external VPNs Two DMZs ACLs and a lot of different net segments
At least this 892FSP is feeding Observium very well.

Cisco just confirmed this as a known bug: https://tools.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCty96914/?reffering_site=dumpcr The odd thing is that it is not fixed in all release trains ...
And I'm running a release which is not marked as affected.
The other thing is... I have a private Observium Cimmunity Edition installation. There I can poll this interface without problems (read there are graphs, only broadcast is always empty!). So there had to be a change in Observium IMHO.

I wouldn’t put too much faith in the “affected release” list as I’ve run into numerous bugs in the past where the version of IOS I was running was clearly affected, but not featured on the list. They update it as they identify affected versions, assuming someone remembers. I’ve seen the same of the “fixed in” list as well.
I would ask TACC to confirm a release that the bug has been fixed in, so you can download and test it.
If TACC won’t do it, and assuming you have a Cisco Account Manager or Systems Engineer handy, ask them to help. They’ll either escalate with TACC or go to the BU and find out.

What IOS version you are running? There is know bug when broadcastpkts counter will go backwards.

Mine was CSCtl98538 (we reported it in 2012, fixed in early 2013 for us), while it doesn't provide much detail, you probably better ask Cisco if it actually fix went into your releases.
