Possible to create alerts for MySQL metrics contained in the MySQL agent?

We're trying to find a way to generate alerts on various MySQL metrics, it looks like all of the metrics are already in the monitor agent/graphs. What is involved in getting those metrics into the alerter/alert checker? This is for Pro.
Thanks!

In addition, I see the mysql agent script checks master/slave status, slave delay, etc but I don't see this being logged or graphed anywhere in Observium. Is it not doing anything with this data (yet)?
Thanks!

Hi Hogan,
The current alerting system does not allow for alerting on "application" data right now - obviously we want to implement this.
Wrt some of the mysql metrics, someone else has reported as well that we receive more data from the agent than we are currently processing. I'm not sure if that is on someone's radar apart from a miniature entry on my giant to-do list; perhaps a jira request is in order. :-)
