Hi all,
I'm curious if it is possible to create an alert that considers an RRD average? For example, if I want to generate an alert that looks at the average utilization of a port over a 24 hour period, and if the average bit rate or percentage is greater than X, send an alert?
I have been working with alerts that trigger based on a percentage, but if the port drops below that mark for even a short period of time (minutes, perhaps even an hour or two), the clock resets. That's proving troublesome.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,

Accessing RRD data during the polling process is not really realistic, since it'd be way, way too slow. Orders of magnitude slower.
