Can Observium be set to not bulk get on SNMP
Is there a way to have Observium for a particular host/device not do a SNMP bulk get ?

Hi, It would seem that certain devices do not like have snmpbulkget's with having the max oid to get being greater than 1. This is why many devices are "working fine" with Cacti, and are "crashing" on Observium. So what I'm attempting to figure out is how to set on a per device, or maybe per device type the Max OID to get value.

You're still missing out the useful information. Don't try to hide the data and solve the problem for only yourself, tell us what isn't working so we can solve the problem for everyone.

I have not problem sharing and solving for all !!
We have a number of vendor gear that does not like snmpbulkget for more than 1 OID. Some devices will actually reboot. Adtran, Calix, Occam (now Calix) to name those that I've had issues with so far.
Under Cacti, I can set, on a per device basis, the number of OID's to get using bulk gets. There have been several conversations in the Cacti world about some devices not liking bulk gets more than 1.
Happy to help provide as much info as possible.
The vendors for this gear are not likely to resolve in a short period of time..

These os types need to be flagged as not supporting bulkwalk in their is definitions.
They aren't a huge performance problem as they don't usually have a lot of data on them.
Its much better if we flag these oses globally than if you do it per device, especially since it is almost a certainly an issue the vendor can't fix, since they likely bought their SNMP stack from a third party.
