Dear all,

Currently we are looking into the different option to get data from NSX Edge devices. Since snmp is not available on them we used the api to get the statistic information. Currently we store those values in a database.

We would like to know what would be the best way to import this data into observium. Our goal is to have a generic solution that we can use for all kinds of data gathered from devices without snmp. We are also willing to contribute this to the observium community.

From what I have seen we have several options:

1. using an agent to provide the data on the agent port. 2. write an application.

Both options would not make it very flexible.
