How can I use a probe that is not listed in “Probes” - like check_dns ?

You can theoretically just add additional entries to the config.php, but it's probably better if we add them globally.
I've added a check_dns definition in r11287. The defaults are sort of dumb, it just checks the hostname of the device it's checking is resolveable.
