I would like to disable notification when host host goes down. I didn't find option for that, only way is disable notifications altogether, but I still would like to receive notification about bgp flaps/interface errors/etc for example.
Is this option not implement yet?

Not at present. We're still planning how the notification/events system should look.

I submitted a feature request (I'm not sure how actively used the bugtracker system is), but what are your thoughts on customizable descriptions for monitored items with notification such as BGP, interfaces, etc.?

In a nutshell, I was thinking along the lines of extending the interface parser (or anything with a description) to customize the notification system without requiring the observium host to save state.
