Cisco 2900 Router VRF display Issue
Hi,
I have situation where Observium shows VRF information for all of my 2800 series routers but not my 2900 series router. Also the config tab is not showing up either from the rancid integration, but it does for all of my 2800 series routers. I have removed and added the router back but that did not seem to change anything. All of other information appears to be displaying and rancid is pulling the configuration without any issues. Has anyone run into this? The 2900 is running IOS ver. 15.0(1)M3.

I cannot comment on the VRF issue (probably an IOS "feature"), but the rancid integration is a simple as comparing your rancid hostnames to observium hostnames. No device type or model numbers involved...

Hi Tom,
I have double checked and the name is the same. It is the only device the config doesn't show up on the tabs.

All we do is check if there is a file in the rancid directory with the hostname of the router, nothing complex is done.
Your filename DOES NOT MATCH. Check again.

I discovered the issue, I have multiple directory groups in rancid, can the location in the config.php file for the rancid directory contain multiple entries or can there be multiple rancid location entries?

I have tried setting up the array, as follows;
$config['rancid_configs'][] = array("/usr/local/rancid/var/corenetwork/configs/", "/usr/local/rancid/var/branchnetwork/configs/", "/usr/local/rancid/var/voicenetwork/configs/", "/usr/local/rancid/var/drnetwork/configs/");
However it still does not seem to be pulling the configs, I also tried using single quote as well with not affect. If I use just a single path like below it works for the devices in that directory.
$config['rancid_configs'][] = "/usr/local/rancid/var/corenetwork/configs/";

The [] on the end of the variable signifies an entry in the 'rancid_configs' array.
You need to replicate the entire line, each time with a different directory.
The difference between " and ' is that things within "" are prarsed by PHP to expand variables, in this instance it makes no difference and you should use ' as it's slightly quicker.

Probably related to cisco randomly removing snmp features based on the direction of the wind and how many vowel sounds are in the day.
