Hi,
I am building an Observium server on a Dell server (not a vm) and have run into the problem that when I run the command,
php includes/update/update.php
I get:
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user observium@localhost (using passwd: YES)
Now, when I select user, host from mysql.user;
I DO see the observium user.
No, I cannot log into the mysql with observium user, however.
So, I know I'm close, but I'm not there yet, any assistance would be great.

I'm most likely confused. Wasn't that obvious?

OK, well. At this point I've gone ahead and uninstalled mysql and am reinstalling it to correct the issue. My config.php has the observium user/password that needs to link to the mysql db. But they weren't connecting to each other.
That is the problem I'm trying to fix. Ryan
