Add ap9606 using powernet-mib
Hi All
Im trying to work out how to add power information to observium (manually as it doesnt seem to be picked up)
I currently monitor a ap9212 power switch (network card is a ap9606) but it only gives me lan stats and no power information
I found if I added the powernet-mib to my mid browser and then did a walk on the apc private oid .1.3.6.1.4.1.318 it revealed all sorts of information which is very useful!
I can provide read access to the device if need be
I would be so happy if we can get power statuses off these tho :D

Yeah, the AP9606 controller was superseded by the AP9631 about 10 years ago I believe... they power the old masterswitches and older UPSes.
We already supported the UPS part, now we also see outlet status but indeed that'll be all you can get from them...
If we ever need to test anything related to the outlets I have 2 masterswitches with an AP9606 in a cupboard :-)
Tom
PS/ you can also control the outlets through SNMP write but Observium is not going there ;)

We actually use a few of the AP9606 at a few of our sites,
but there purely for power cycling stuff only,
saves the travelling
Also would be handy if observium had write access for the power outlets, but I guess 1 thing at a time ah :)
