Best practice for alert threshold per devices
%Hello,
Im trying to define different alert threshold per devices.
Ive tried by proceeding like this :
1° Ive defined a global alarm for all my devices having disk over 90%
Im associating this alert checks to every devices except those in a specific group
2° The group with id 17, correspond to devices for which I accept a disk filled under 95%
3° Ive defined a second alert check specifically for this
Is it the good way to achieve my goal ? Is my syntax correct ?
Best Regards
Thibault
Hi,
Yeah this makes sense to do it this way. I keep wanting to have a single alert with multiple sets of thresholds, but that seems very complex to manage.
You may have noticed that the alerting association system changed between you creating the first alert and the second alert, so you can delete the first and recreate it with the new format.
There will be an automatic migration in future, but since you're playing around, you could do it manually.
