So for example my brother printer adds 2 of these
NC-8100w
These are the wireless ports, not using never will use - don't want them listed. I have added
$config['bad_if'][] = "NC-8100w";
To config.php but they don't go away. I have even restarted the observium server since not sure when that confg gets reread? But they are sill there.
As to windows one sure I can clean up some of the nonsense instances of say tunnel_ and ethernet_ -- but sholdn't there be a easy delete what the /deleted-ports page? how do ports get put there? I would think I could delete the ports and then turn off discovery of ports on the devices to keep them from being readded.

Well, I read "old interfaces etc", so... :-)
But yes, we have ignore functions, they already contain(ed?) some of the silly Windows ports, but you can just add new descriptions to the array to make them go away.

Tom that would work normally I think, but on a windows box it adds all sorta of nonsense ports on it that rarely are used which cannot be deleted on the OS. I believe this is what he means.

I have looked and looked and can not find how to delete ports. There are many ports that are added when pointing to my windows machine for example, old interfaces, etc. tunnels that are not listed ipconfig /all, etc.
How do you delete them? Do you have to edit the $config['bad_if'] to include the names of the interfaces you dont want?
Possibly. Or you just delete them on the machine itself?
