Devices with multiple IP addresses
Hi,
Thanks Adam, I am back to using Observium after many years (was on the Subscription, now on Community)..
I have a question on a router (and some similar devices). The router has two interfaces, both visible from the Observium poller. It has been discovered twice, and appears twice as well on the map.
I cannot find a script, or anything in the UI (which I am still exploring) or the FAQ.
What should I be looking for?
Did you add it twice?
Delete the duplicate device.

Adam,
Yes, I did. I assumed I would be able to mark them as aliases later. I will delete all but one.
Thank you for the quick response, much appreciated.

Strange. That SHOULD not be possible as Observium checks the SNMP EngineID of the device and compares it to existing devices to avoid adding the same device twice with a different IP.
