Hi,
I run Observium on my home network, so appreciate the CE Edition (CE 0.15.6.6430).
I have 2 dd-wrt based switches, and I remember when they were first discovered by Observium quite a while back, they displayed a dd-wrt logo on the device list.
This hasn't occurred for a while now, and I just was interested to know if it is possible for this to happen?
Screen shots attached fyi (hopefully they won't get stripped).
This is a very minor question (hope the "noise is okay"), but if anyone has an answer I'd appreciate it.
Hi Roland,
Do you know the sysDescr for that device?
It's on the device's overview page, it's above the table of device information. It'll begin with "Linux".
Thanks, adam.

Linux switch2 2.6.24.111 #22971 Mon Dec 22 02:09:35 CET 2014 mips Linux switch3 2.6.24.111 #22979 Mon Dec 22 02:19:58 CET 2014 mips
Many thanks for looking into this.

Seems as not used DD-WRT in sysDescr anymore.
Send debug output for: ./poller.php -d -m os -h <device>

Hi Mike,
Adam contacted me and said:
"They're now returning generic sysDescrs, so we can't identify them.
They used to return DD-WRT in the middle of the sysDescr, and without that we can't identify them."
....which is what you also mentioned.
Attached is the output as requested (just in case). Great news about r6562......can't take the step to the Pro version for my home network....bother :-)
Thanks for your input.
Ahh. It still seems to be in sysName, which is enough to identify it :)
adam.

Hi Adam and Mike,
I made sure that sysName only contained DD-WRT, then re-polled the device.
This still showed a generic linux device. Then, since it is only a home network, I deleted the device and RRD data, then re-added it. Still no joy.
Looks like sysName might not be enough afterall :-(
Thanks anyway!
