- for a Windows 2K server , how can we do service monitoring ?
- for web server , how can we run check tcp/udp ports 80 - 8080 over network ?

Which is the best way to monitore à fileZilla ftp server runing on windows Server 2008R2 with observium ? Can I run à check on port 21 from observium poller ?
We have just taken the annual support for observium ... nice tools!

Our port/service monitoring code is currently disabled pending a future rewrite.
At the moment we don't have a way to generate alerts based on the status of ports.

We have just taken the professional support to deplay observium on all our infrastructure, it is unthinkable for us to install second tools to monitor network ports. Adam have you a date of putting in production?
Another solution could be to make a littre script using telnet for checking port and activate alarms. Is it possible ?
