Just throwing an idea out there, but for devices that are not currently supported, but have published MIB's, could we put some type of voting system out there, ala http://ideascale.com or something similar? Help guide Adam and Tom a bit in the development so they know where the interest is and possibly get some donations for the popular ideas/devices?

Should be a great idea, especially atm of edition split, increasing the popularity of the product would be beneficial. Wait for their judgement, they are a little bit fierce, aren't you ?! :] Le 09/10/2013 19:47, Robbie Wright a écrit :

Hi,
Honestly, addition of new MIBs will happen either because one of the developers has a direct need for it, because someone sponsors development for it, or because someone sends in a patch adding support. You're free to gather up a list, but that doesn't mean we'll work on the top list in our scarce free time ;-)
I'd be interested to see such a list though, in any case.

Pondering about this some more, could a separate project created on our Jira installation work, perhaps called "wishlist", where people create issues for their requested feature, and others could use the "vote" mechanism to vote for it?
The comments section could be used to describe your use case - but let's not use that for discussion between users...
Tom
If Jira has a voting mechanism of some kind, or even just a simple thumbs up/thumbs down, that sounds like a great start.
