how to skip SNMP check and only evaluate ICMP for some devices (HPE)?
Hi
Observium version: r9964 (rolling)
OS: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
Is there a way to only evaluate the ICMP answers for certain devices (and skip SNMP)?
I know that it can be done the other way round (there is a switch in the device props).
We run a bunch of H3C/HP/HPE switches and there are no SNMP answers sometimes which lead to false-positives (i know about this issue already). During the next polling run, the alert is then cleared and this is annoying.
Best,
Thomas
Hi,
If you don't want to alert when a device goes up/down, don't alert when a device goes up/down. You can already do this with alert associations by excluding a group/os/etc of devices.
