Hi
I get "WARNING! Ports snmpwalk did not complete. Try to increase SNMP timeout on the device properties page." on one of my devices. Then I went to the device page and entered "300" as SNMP timeout, hit save and got told "Device SNMP configuration update is not required". What's next?
Best regards

Hi guys,
I can put a little spin on the question since nobody had any input: Have anybody had issues monitoring Aruba switches in particular? Some of them seem to need some adjustment of SNMP timers and I'm looking for the right numbers.
Also, the bulkwalk seems to be set at 10 items by default (gathered from reading the docs). Should this be increased or decreased if devices are slow to complete SNMP queries?
Lars

It seems that you have discovered a bug in the snmp form, I'll have a look.
Adam.

There no errors, just this is impossible timeout for snmpwalk.
300 seconds timeout.. you seriously? :) Your server will die if at least one device takes so long to respond..
set to 3,5.. max 10 seconds. Really if some device respond longer.. "bury the stewardess" :D

Root cause was a bad line slowing things down. But thanks for giving me some numbers to work with.
