Device first discovery date

Hi Everyone! Is there a way to find out the date of the "first contact" with a device from Observium? I mean for example the date when the first discovery was run on a specific device, or something like this? (Currently the device's event log runs out after half a year.) Any ideas? Regards, Tylla

Send email alerts only for some checkers, not all of them

Hello, First of all, congratulations for your great product :) I have been searching this the forum but I can't find an answer for this :( We are currently using Observium Pro v18.10.9500. I'm trying to configure emailing so that I would like to be notified on some alerts generated by some of the alert checkers but not all of them, but I'm not able to do it :( Currently I'm receiving email alerts from all of my checkers. This is my current "config.php": // Set up a default alerter (email to a single address) // $config['email']['default'] = ""; // $config['email']['default_only'] = TRUE; $config['email']['from'] = "< I omit this part, this is our current email, this is working >"; $config['email']['smtp_host'] = "< I omit, our SMTP email server >"; $config['email']['backend'] = "smtp"; // Mail backend. Building an Observium appliance

It's time I give something back to the community. This project, GitHub - SergeCaron/observium_appliance: Build and maintain an Observium appliance<https://github.com/SergeCaron/observium_appliance>, is aimed at SMB environments and walks the sysadmin through each phase of creating and maintaining (backup, restore, upgrade) an Observium appliance. It also covers the installation of Let's Encrypt certificates, secure (https) access to the Observium web site, basic email configuration for notifications, and log aggregation. It's basically a recipe with scripts. A small appliance with fault tolerant network configuration is shown to emphasize the standalone nature of the project. Of course, any virtual environment can do ;-) I hope I kept the typos and omissions to a minimum. Regards, Serge Caron

User access levels

Hi, I have another beginner question please. I have setup Active Directory authentication, but how can I limit users to exact devices? I really do not want for some users to see anything else than they need to and all of them have level 1 access. And I can't see any option to limit them or assign user to device. Also it would be great to assign users to exact device group I have created. Thanks a lot Tibor

Buy subscription via invoice / bank transfer ?

Hello, Thanks for your excellent software. We are very interested in buying a Professional Subscription subscription (to begin with) but we don't have company issued cards and not allowed to used paypal either. Is there any possibility to do a invoice / bank transfer instead ?

Can't see alerts.

Greetings. For some reason recently I can NOT see any alert status, if I press on 'Alerts' it is empty and doesn't show anything. Sometimes it's showing the alert for a second and then all of the alerts disappeared. I tried to reboot the Ubuntu VM and also tried to see some logs but couldn't handle it, still having this issue. I didn't change anything within the Ubuntu machine the Observium installed on so ain't got a clue what's happened. Maybe you'll be able to assist me please. Setting up alerts on received power

Hi, I'd like to setup alerts on RX power levels of my optical interfaces (on juniper and cisco equipment). In the web interface, this value can be obtained @URL: /device/device=yy/tab=health/metric=dbm/id=xx/ I really can't figure how to properly build an alert checker on this. Did anyone already set it up ? Thanks

Sensor limit nominal and delta OIDs need different scaling

Hi, We are trying to set appropriate limits for a frequency sensor. There are OIDs for the nominal frequency and the acceptable deviation from it. The problem is the nominal OID needs 0.1 scaling while the deviation OID needs 1 scaling (the measured value needs 0.1 scaling). Is there a way to handle this? We tried using 'limit_scale' but that applies the same scaling to both the nominal and delta limits. The specific device is a CyberPower ATS PDU. The OIDs are ePDU2SourceStatusSourceAFrequency, ePDU2SourceStatusSourceBFrequency, ePDU2SourceStatusNominalFrequency and ePDU2SourceConfigFrequencyDeviation. Corwin
