Adam, I totally see your point, and am surprised that it's only a 12% uptake to be honest. As an aside question - what methods of payment for the professional product are supported and how do I go about it? Still need to sweet-talk the boss but it's looking promising. Hi all, Not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but I've noticed with the current community version of observium (14.4/5229) that I installed today that on line 24 of includes/discovery/sensors.inc.php : include("includes/discovery/senors/entity-sensor-mib-inc-php"); Should probably read include("includes/discovery/sensors/entity-sensor-mib-inc-php"); It made my procurve temperature pickup work again anyway. Probably been documented somewhere but I couldn't find it. Do I qualify for a free pro version now? :-) Cheers Andy

Hello, I am running the paid/SVN version of observium and I have tried a couple of times to setup email alerts and each time I end up breaking my config and having to restore it. Does anyone have any sample configurations I can look at/copy from for simple alerts to a single email address via a network SMTP relay? e.g. mail from observium(a)domain.com<mailto:observium@domain.com> to alerts(a)domain.com<mailto:alerts@domain.com>? Do I require a local postfix install for mail to be dropped into? I'm trying to apply some syslog-filters and have for example added this to my config.php: $config['syslog']['filter'][] = 'ROUTING-MLDP-5-BRANCH'; $config['syslog']['filter'][] = "Successfully authenticated user \'rancid\'"; However I still get messages containing these strings Do I need some kind of wildcard or what could be wrong?
