Cisco ASA in Azure?

Hi, Has anyone else noticed that the soft version of Cisco ASA, hosted in Azure, just reports back as a generic device, without any of the lovely ASA specific features that Observium normally displays? 'Cisco Firepower Threat Defense, Version 6.2.3.13 (Build 53), ASA Version 9.9(2)51' Regards Darren

Eltek Compact Shelf Discovery

I've got a number of Eltek compact shelves (-48 VDC) power systems that are failing to discover. I get a bunch of these in the discovery debug. STDERR[ Error in packet Reason: (noSuchName) There is no such variable name in this MIB. Failed object: NSCRTV-ROOT::commonDeviceVendorInfo.1 ] It's able to pull the Sys Description and uptime. Am I missing a MIB? Thanks Jay

Confusing Poe+ Sensor alerts/warnings

Hi, Hardware: HPE J9780A Switch 2530-8-PoEP Did some digging, thanks to the very helpful new? tool https://mibs.observium.org/mib/HP-ICF-POE-MIB/#hpicfPoePethPsePortPower It appears the PoE Power warning is based on being over poe (not poe+) limits, not sure how it determines what the maximum allowed should be. For PoE+ Switches it is 30W The seemingly undocumented OID .1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.1.9.1.1.1.16 gives the following output: .1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.1.9.1.1.1.16.1.1 = 1 .1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.1.9.1.1.1.16.1.2 = 1 .1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.1.9.1.1.1.16.1.3 = 2 .1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.1.9.1.1.1.16.1.4 = 1 .1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.1.9.1.1.1.16.1.5 = -1 .1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.1.9.1.1.1.16.1.6 = 2 .1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.1.9.1.1.1.16.1.7 = 1 .1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.1.9.1.1.1.16.1.8 = -1 Ports 1,2,4 and 7 have PoE devices attached. Ports 3 and 6 have PoE+ devices and ports 4 and 8 are disconnected. This table matches the 'PLC Type' column in the switch GUI. Hopefully this could be useful in making more meaningful PoE Power status warnings/alerts. Also not sure why Current causes an alert.. how to skip SNMP check and only evaluate ICMP for some devices (HPE)?

Hi Observium version: r9964 (rolling) OS: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS Is there a way to only evaluate the ICMP answers for certain devices (and skip SNMP)? I know that it can be done the other way round (there is a switch in the device props). We run a bunch of H3C/HP/HPE switches and there are no SNMP answers sometimes which lead to false-positives (i know about this issue already). UPS load

Hi All How simple is it to graph a UPS load in observium? We have bought a new UPS, and observium found all sorts from it straight away However it doesn’t appear to show a LOAD capacity? Its a MegaTec network card and Power Inspired UPS The snmp exists in min already - upsSmartOutputLoad and it only shows a percentage Maybe I can add a graph under the Capacity ? Regards Simon

power sensor with 0W -> alert

Hi, since some weeks POE Groups (or other power supply unity) are marked as alarm if no output power is specified: observium-alert-zero-power.png. In this case this is not a problem, it just means that no POE-device is connected to the switch. How can I remove the alarms here? Cheers Helge

Status Alarms
