All - Hello. We are evaluating Observium for our enterprise network metrics and are pretty impressed with the community package. However, before we invest in the subscription version, I have a few questions. 1. Are there any reporting/analysis functions in the subscription version? Our CIO is interested in measuring 95% on all of our regional office site links in order to analyze capacity planning. 2. How mature is the alerting in the subscription version? Is it possible to configure alerting based on anything other than a percentage of link speed and interface up/down? 3. I have been unable to get any email functionality working in the community version. Is it supposed to work? Thanks in advance! NetApp Clustered OnTap

I’ve been testing the community edition for a few months and have been pretty impressed. I’m hoping to get the subscription version soon. Even small amounts of money can sometimes be difficult to spend with university bureaucracy. We have a few NetApp filers. The first is a bit older and is detected correctly and Observium gives quite a bit of useful information about it. The second is running the newer Clustered OnTap OS, and Observium has no idea what it is, doesn’t recognize it as a NetApp device or assign the correct icon, and doesn’t pull any data from it. Anyone have any idea if this is more up to date in the subscription version? If the person who wrote the NetApp support is willing, I can try to help out and see if we can figure out what changed. -John John Arends Senior Systems Engineer School of Communication Northwestern University

Observium and IE

Apologies if this has been asked before. Observium pages appear to get pretty mangled in IE. Is there a workaround or fix for this? Questions about alert system

Hello, Is there a way to change the check interval for alerts ? It seems to be 5 min by default, I would like to check every minute. Observium Subscription

Hi, We have subscribed to the subscription version of Observium. I sent my username and password hash to Adam as requested.( adama(a)observium.org) Does it take time for the next step forward to be taken?Just want to know if I did everything correctly. Regards Anton

95% rule and scaling

Is Observium capable of measuring/calculating the 95% rule on interfaces? Also is it possible to change scaling on ports, for example even though one of my customer ports is set on the device at 100Mbps, the link itself is only capable of 20Mbps. Is it possible to change the scale on that particular port to reflect the manageable bandwidth? WMI Poller
