Port alerts that dont exist

Hi All, I'm still having this issue where there are 2 ports that show as down on the dashboard, but no alerts are present when you click the "2 down" link. [cid:image001.png@01D08DDD.1C78EC00] Is there a mysql query I could run to diagnose which ports are causing this? PHP strict errors running poller.php -dd

I’ve been running poller.php in -dd mode to try and troubleshoot somethings and came across many, many multiples of these errors in the output: Strict Standards: Only variables should be passed by reference in /opt/observium/includes/common.inc.php on line 624 PHP Strict Standards: Only variables should be passed by reference in /opt/observium/includes/common.inc.php on line 625 My google-fu hasn’t helped me figure out why these are showing up or how to turn them off. IOS XR snmp-server context for monitoring BGP sessions inside a VRF

Hi, I understand that the current BGP MIB doesn’t support VRF contexts for pulling BGP session info for sessions that exist inside a VRF. I have IOS XR boxes that house my vrf BGP sessions, and apparently there is an snmp-context command that has proven to be able to work around the MIB limitations. My question is whether or not anyone within the Observium community has tried to do this. From what I gather, it requires a separate SNMP community on the IOS XR box to perform the context mapping, but that would seem to imply that one needs to duplicates the node in question in Observium with the new community. I haven’t actually tried any of this yet...

Environmental monitoring on an APC Smart-UPS

I have an APC Smart-UPS 1500 with a network management card that includes environmental monitoring. When Observium discovers the device the battery temperature is displayed, but not the temperature from the probe connected to the management card. Does Observium have the ability to show the temperature from the probe on the management card? Thanks. --Vincent

Speaking from my perspective, the discovery script found the multiple temperature sensors and properly added them into the display. I would expect that the developers are going to want to see the debug results of the discovery script run against your UPS, so that would be a good next step. Observium Routing Tab - OSPF

Hi All, Has anyone had an issue where not all devices running OSPF appeared in the "Routing" tab? I have 5 Nexus 7K switches which are all identically configured but only 3 are showing in OSPF tab (all are neighbours). Is there any debug I can run to find out why this isn't working? Discrepancy between host-resources-mib and df

Hi, I found report on this issue, as I’m running up against it as well (http://jira.observium.org/browse/OBSERVIUM-1062) Does anyone have a workaround that they’ve found works, other than trying to carve a certain percentage off of the alert threshold? Thanks in advance!
