HIgh CPU usage caused by snmp process

Hi All, Couple of our Force 10 (S4810) Switches are reporting high CPU usage which seems to be caused by snmp processes. This is impacting the network performance. Do we know the MIBS (modules) that cause high load? And how can we disable these MIBs. Thanks! Change alert checkers/method to make alerts more flexible?

Me again. :) I love Observium, but the alerts are a bit of a pain point for me. Admittedly I don't have full, in-depth knowledge of the alerting mechanism but I was wondering why the check conditions and entities are separate. If it were possible (without completely rewriting the whole alert code) to have the entities be a part of the check conditions then that would, by design, allow us to set multiple check conditions on different entities within the same checker. See attached, I realize this doesn't work but this might help explain what I'm wanting. Since there's no entity for active used memory it's very hard to create actionable alerts for high memory utilization until it's too late and the host(s) start to swap. If the check conditions had metric, condition, value, and entity together then I could create such an alert by checking for physical memory used >= 95% *and* cached memory <= 10% (and... if so desired). On the other hand, if the metrics included the entity then there would be no need to have the entities at all? mempool_physical_perc, mempool_cached_perc, etc. I have high hopes for Observium and I'm trying to do what I can to tweak it to do what we need, but my PHP experience is limited. If I can manage to find a resource internally here at work to help out then hopefully we can contribute something back to the community if it's deemed worthy. Just some thoughts. observium says bgp neigh down, yet neigh never existed

38 some minutes ago, observium reported that BGP neigh 32.1.24.24 was down on our LAX router. yet this IP has never been configured on this router as anything, let alone a BGP neigh A quick grep of rancid history for this router never shows this address. Stumped.....

autodiscovery broken

Hi, just upgraded to r6310 and I think autodiscovery is broken. Neighbors found via CDP/LLDP gets added to DB but poller fail to poll them on first try. Debug output attached for a newly autodiscoverd device.

Hi, Are you sure you didnt update Observium while doing this? As it looks like you ran into a short lived bug that was already fixed... Graph / No Auth issue

We've enabled SSL on our Observium server and now it seems like all of our port graphs are broken. They show "No Auth" and clicking on them takes you to the "you're not allowed to view this graph" page. We've disabled the SSL site and reset apache, cleared cookies and used different browsers. Created a new level10 user and nothing seems to work. Port graphs show no auth

CDP Neighbors broken?

I'm having an issue with Neighbors / Map missing entries on a Cisco device. It's a 3750E stack running 12.2.55SE9 and it has always worked properly before. I'm not sure when it stopped updating but I've updated to the latest SVN build and it doesn't help. Observium shows 12 entries, however if I do a show cdp neighbors from the switch itself I get ~3 times the items. Any idea on what's going on? Aggregate

Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to generate aggregate graphs. I've found the way to do that if I use "blabla:..." however I have already my description : "test test (blabla) test test". I did some work on the port_description_parser but non of them worked for me. How can I catch the "(blabla)" in there ? now I can see its configured as Notes.
