You have almost certainly added them to the wrong cron file in the wrong format. Follow the instructions. Adam. graphics problem

Hi, yesterday I installed paul software according to the official documentation. I have successfully added the first servers (. / hostname add_device community versionsnmp). I see the tables of graphics but these are not populated with the actual employment. only yesterday just added the apparatus has plotted a bit. this is a section on the memory (ram) but I have all the same (see attached link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/3xjbnjcp7rsdoat/snapshot3.png) I also, as indicated in the wiki, added the following strings in crontab 33 */6 * * * root /opt/observium/discovery.php -h all >> /dev/null 2>&1 */5 * * * * root /opt/observium/discovery.php -h new >> /dev/null 2>&1 */5 * * * * root /opt/observium/poller-wrapper.py 1 >> /dev/null 2>&1 I reloaded the crond service: /etc/init.d/crond reload what is the problem? how can I solve it? thanks in advance greetings

Hi All, I was wondering if someone could help with the syslog-ng intergration. For some reason not all my switches seem to be getting logs even though the syslogs are getting sent to the observium server. why is the DNS query rate so high?

Thanks for clues in troubleshooting a problem with high DNS query rates from Observium. I've been looking at Observium for network monitoring, and really like it so far, except that makes repeated DNS queries at a very high rate. For example, an Observium box monitors an old Cisco 2651XM router in the same physical location. Running a capture on the DNS server, we see the Observium box made over 200 queries for the router's hostname in a 7-second interval. Also, the DNS server correctly responded to every one of these, usually within 20 ms. What would cause so many DNS queries (and apparent non-caching of the responses)? This behavior is thrashing the logs on the DNS servers. This is with Observium Community Edition 0.13.10.4586 running on Debian Wheezy. Thanks again dn

Ldap ad authentication levels

Hi, Is there someone who has the permission levels like 10 for admin working with ad ldap groups? The ad ldap authentication itself is working for me but I get a screen with 0 devices then. If it just doesn't work I can stop trying. Regards, Frederik Reenders

Latest subscription version and Map issues

Evening all :-) I have had a quick look at the google page listed in the the doc, and also had a good search of google in general. I have a smallish but problematic issue with the overview page. In the old version (before update) I did not have any issue with this, howver the page defaults to the USA, and well I am in the UK - I have tried playing around with the region setting in the Docs (not a lot is discussed about "what" it actually does, but i have had a good play) to no avail. Google api doc page mentioned setting the region to "England" so I set : [map] => Array ( [region] => England [resolution] => countries [dotsize] => 10 [realworld] => [api] => google-mc [zooms_per_click] => 1 But it still defaults to the USA (middle of) :/ Now the second issue is we have set the device properties > System Location to be "Greenwich View Place, London, UK" which initially showed the devices in the correct place, then after an hour or two, its now 3 miles off to the East :( (and there I was thinking - wow thats good) :) So any help - guidance would be much appreciated :) -- Kind regards, Chris

Junos health monitoring removed?

Hi, Just a quick question. For some reason my temperature sensors disappeared on Juniper / Junos gear. Observium log shows many of these: Sensor Deleted: temperature junos 9.1.0.0 Routing Engine 0 Running latest version from pro/svn, just updated to 4670 to be sure. Any clues? Regards, Rutger

Searching in the FDB-Tables

Hi all :-) When i search for a specific mac-address inside the FDB-Table i get no results with the default search options. Only if i deactivate the Options for Vlan and VLAN names. User Levels

Excuse me if this is already documented some place. What is the lowest user level that will have read access to everything? Are the levels documented anywhere?
