Real Time port graphing not working when enabling SSL

When i enable HTTPS on Apache2 vhost then the Real Time port graph stays blank - when i revert to HTTP it's working again. Checked with the stable, rolling and CE version - same behavior on all of them. Do i need to set something extra or does anyone else have the same issue? Thanks, cody

device sensor only shows 1-20 interfaces

Hello, our cisco Nexus9000 C9372PX device shows sensors data for only first 20 (of 54 )interfaces. Software BIOS: version 07.34 NXOS: version 7.0(3)I2(1a) this commands shows sensors data for 1-20 interfaces too: https://pastebin.com/KxxZLF57 Is it possible to do something about it ? Alert : Matching "null" value in condition?

Hello, In alerting, do you have the option to match "null" value? For example, to match/not match the sensor with sensor_limit_warm = null value. My goal it's create alerting with "sensor_value gt @sensor_warn" but excluding when sensor_warm is "null" in database. Because that's create false positives. Thanks! Johann

My sensors were deleted

Good morning, I was just trying to check the history on one of my Geist Watchdog environment sensors and I have no environment graphs - temperature, humidity, or dew point. It's the same for all of my Geist devices. I checked the logs and found these entries: 2019-12-05 12:34:10 OS-ServerRoom Dew Point Sensor deleted: dewpoint geist-v4-mib internalDewPoint.1 OS-ServerRoom Dew Point 2019-12-05 12:34:10 OS-ServerRoom Humidity Sensor deleted: humidity geist-v4-mib internalHumidity.1 OS-ServerRoom Humidity 2019-12-05 12:34:10 OS-ServerRoom Temperature Sensor deleted: temperature geist-v4-mib internalTemp.1 OS-ServerRoom Temperature I have Device Availability and Device Uptime graphs but that's it. I ran a discovery on them but after an hour still no enviromental data. I checked a couple of the devices and the information is there. Any ideas on what's going on and how to fix it? I am using an FDQN for Observium. When I get an email notification, it looks like: How can I get the URL in the email to use the FDQN? Note that the 10.14.1.76 is the internal IP of our instance. LXC monitoring via SNMP

I'm monitoring 3 LXC containers of my new installed homelab server but somehow the CPU values polled via SNMP are completely messy while checking inside the container with TOP they are correct there. Attached is a screenshot of one of three fresh installed LXC containers where they are doing nothing yet showing the CPU utilization via SNMP and TOP. Also the physical server does nothing and is showing the correct values via SNMP and TOP. Anyone know how to fix that? thx, cody

RSSI graphs

If I want to see Receive Power, Link Capacity, Transmit Power, etc., I can use this URL: http://10.14.4.76/p2pradios/view=graphs/ But I get all of the devices. I don't see a way to apply filters. Getting here from the Web page, I select Ports/P2P Radios. For Access points, all of their clients show up. In my case, I am seeing 700 devices on a single page. How can I apply a filter? Hi all, We've just swapped out some Juniper MX80's for MX204s: https://www.juniper.net/us/en/products-services/routing/mx-series/mx204/ and we are running Juniper JunOS 18.2R1.9 ([MX204] Internet Router). not getting cpu cores and network interfaces

Hi, I have some servers where i only get one cpu graph instead the cores listed where the Temperatur sensors showing 12 cores - there are two six-core Intel Xeon X5675 cpu's inside. Also i do not get any network interfaces fetched: ##### Module Start: ports ##### o Caching OIDs ifDescr ifAlias ifName ifType ifOperStatus o Caching DB 0 ports o Discovering ports o Duration 30.2533s There are two onboard 1G and two onboard 10G nic's and a additional dual-port 1G nic card inside. Also the inventory option does not show up. SNMP is configured the same as on all the other servers, running Debian 10 on them. High CPU alarm

Hi I have a synology nas with 1CPU and 4 cores in it. Whenever 1 core gets a shitload to do I get a CPU high alarm although it's not the combined cpu load that is high. Is there something I can do in the alarm checker to combine the cpu loads of all cores and trigger an alarm when all 4 combined is over for example 80% load? Regards Daniel

I just tried a manual upgrade. GUI not loading after OS update

Dear Experts, I have performed the OS upgrade on observium system from Ubuntu 16.04 to 18.04 with no other update, it was just OS upgrade, after upgrade GUI is not loading properly and landing to php page, see the screenshot below. Transferring License to New Server

Hello, I am in the process of migrating the on premise Observium instance to AWS. I want to setup the AWS instance and run it in parallel with the on premise instance for some time to make sure that there isn't issues with the new instance. Are we allowed to run the same license on two servers at the same time or is there another way of doing this without me having to buy another license just for this purpose. Thanks, Dinuka Jayamaha

I have Active Directory authentication working but only for whatever group is "last in the list" for $config['auth_ldap_suffix']. I have a username in the OU "OUAdministrators" and another account in OU "ServerAdmin". If I comment out the line $config['auth_ldap_suffix'] = ",ou=OUAdministrators,ou=Users,ou=BCPUS,dc=mw,dc=na,dc=cat,dc=com"; and uncomment out //$config['auth_ldap_suffix'] = ",ou=ServerAdmin,ou=Users,ou=BCPUS,dc=mw,dc=na,dc=cat,dc=com"; then the account in OUAdministratos no longer can login and the one in ServerAdmin starts working. If I leave them both uncommented, then the one that is last in the list works. Problems with Geolocation and static config of coordinates

Hi I have 1 site that does not show on the map even though I have cofigured it with static coordinates both via "Manual coordinates" option on the devices on that location and also tried creating a config line with the syslocation tag to put it on the same coordinates. $config['location_map']['Lulea'] = "65.5861680,22.1594800"; I can't understand why just this site has this problem and none of the other 50+ sites. Hi, I’m looking for pointers on how to implement alert checkers with the following requirements: (A) test condition: [ sensor_value greater @sensor_limit ] + buffer - the [ ] part itself works, but I need to add a buffer (offset) for some checks not to throw false positives - I’m aware of the delay option, but this doesn’t help in my case - spelling out something like "sensor_value greater @sensor_limit + 5” doesn’t work for me (B) aggregate / pool over devices -check a number of devices and only alert me if, eg. 5/10 are over specific criteria, e.g.: - check all internal PDU temperatures - if all sensor_value greater X --> alert - I know how to check each device individually: (device.device_id in 82|83|84|85|86|87|88|89|90|91|92|93|94|95|96|97|98|99 AND sensor.sensor_descr regexp internal) - how do I convert this into a “if true for all devices” statement? Lastly, I’m looking for documentation and examples on how to invoke scripts from alert checkers. The documentation appears to be quite sparse [1] in this regard. Hi, In the event/alert log, we have a list of all events/alerts (systemwide, on a single unit, group etc) Would be nice to visualize the count in a single graph. Then we can quickly spot the date/time, when a lot of events/alerts happened. Is it possible to trigger alarm from eventlog text?

Hi I get this in the eventlog for 2 switches and I'm wondering if it's possible to create an alarm depending on what the text in the eventlog says: Te2/0/1 Interface Down: [ifOperStatus] 'up' -> 'down' Te2/0/1 Interface is no longer encrypted In this case I want to trigger an alarm when the text "Interface is no longer encrypted" comes and do a reset of the same alarm when the text "Interface is now encrypted" comes. Is this possible to do with the alarm system in Observium today or is it something that could be implemented? Not sure I can see in snmp if an interface is encrypted or not. I haven't seen anything when I have looked for it. We use macsec in this case. Regards Daniel
