Device first discovery date

Hi Everyone! Is there a way to find out the date of the "first contact" with a device from Observium? I mean for example the date when the first discovery was run on a specific device, or something like this? (Currently the device's event log runs out after half a year.) Any ideas? Regards, Tylla

Send email alerts only for some checkers, not all of them

Hello, First of all, congratulations for your great product :) I have been searching this the forum but I can't find an answer for this :( We are currently using Observium Pro v18.10.9500. I'm trying to configure emailing so that I would like to be notified on some alerts generated by some of the alert checkers but not all of them, but I'm not able to do it :( Currently I'm receiving email alerts from all of my checkers. Hi A few months ago we updated observium (from 23.2.12520 to 24.8.13606) and now we don't see the alerts for monitored ports. Before we saw yellow boxes (warnings), now they don't appear. Does it no longer show that information? port down we must add something in the config file? -- Saluda cordialmente

Problem with Alert-Checkers

I have a problem with some alerters... Although the alert really triggers and I get the confirmation “ALERT_NOTIFIY”, I get no message. No matter if by mail, SMS or webhook. Everything works normally with other alert checkers.

Eventlog incorrectly says interface circuit attribute has changed on every poll

We have some very long interface aliases (130 characters). The Observium parsed circuit ID is 66 characters but it appears to be limited to 64 characters somewhere. The annoying part is every time the device is polled a message is written to the eventlog saying the circuit ID has changed, showing the parsed circuit ID and a truncated version of it. We don't need the character limit increased (although that would be nice); we want the constant (incorrect) eventlog messages to stop (without changing the configured interface alias). (For those curious, the long circuit IDs are for circuits made of up several segments chained together from multiple providers.) Corwin

Owning alerts

Hi, This might have been asked before, apologies if so. Is it possible somehow to assign ownership of raised alerts? We operate a largish support function and have noticed people are suppressing alerts they think other people are working on, sometimes erroneously. Having notes or a ownership assignment of a raised alert might help sort this. Thanks! Hello, I try to add a new os and a new mib in my Observium. The device is a TBOX from Ovarro. The device is old so the bulk mode does not work. I managed to add custom OID. Unexplained alerts for array controller

We've got a pair of new alerts for a Dell file server having several attached drive arrays. One alert clearly refers to the array controller; it is not clear to what the other refers, other than that it is storage-related. These alerts are: Drive ID 4 storage 3h 17m 52s ago alert fail Drive Controller PERC H730P Mini (Embedded) 3 storage 3h 19m 5s ago alert fail These alerts appeared immediately after starting the Systemd service dsm_sa_datamgrd, which had failed for an unknown reason. I believe this service runs an agent for the Dell OpenManage monitoring portal. Even after the restart of this service, that portal is reporting that it cannot communicate with the system. The iDRAC for this system reports no faults, and all relevant lights on it are green. The system appears to be working, in that the files it serves are available as normal. Do you have any ideas how to take this investigation forward? I see that a similar thread https://lists.observium.org/hyperkitty/list/observium@lists.observium.org/m… was opened nearly a year ago, but this did not receive any responses.
