You're confusing a filesystem subdirectory with an http subdirectory, everything after that is moot. It suggests that there is a relative directory named logout, and nothing is specified as an object. Perhaps there is some concatenation problem. The same is true for other menu options, e.g.: <a href="logout/ . . .etc <a href="settings/ . . .etc <a href="preferences/ . . .etc <a href="about/ . . .etc . . .all fail. I suspect some path issues. Can someone tell me where/what object (PHP script?) executes the logout procedure? In other words, where is the <li><a href="logout/" title="Logout"><i class="oicon-door-open-out"></i> Logout</a></li> list element construct created? Finally, in order to get the "home page" (the one with the world map) to render following successful login, the following was necessary: RE: /opt/observium/html/pages/logon.inc.php Changed url to relative reference (removed “/” before “image”) to enable display of image:  <div class="well" style="padding: 50px; background-image: url('images/login-hamster-large.png'); background-position: ...etc. BTW, think of me as someone in "userland" that is PHP capable. Thanks for any suggestions; in the mean time, I'll revisit my Apache2.2 httpd configurations for possible path problems. I think that with a little "jump start" help, I can port this to FreeBSD. MIB requests

Just throwing an idea out there, but for devices that are not currently supported, but have published MIB's, could we put some type of voting system out there, ala http://ideascale.com or something similar? Help guide Adam and Tom a bit in the development so they know where the interest is and possibly get some donations for the popular ideas/devices? Perf_time tables

Are the perf_times and devices_perftimes used for anything other than diagnostics at the moment? These tables are the significant majority of the data in our database. I truncated them once to free up some space. Is this something that I could do on a regular basis? perf_times => 2013-09-20 04:00:02 to 2013-10-10 17:23:21 generated 25,476,751 rows devices_perftimes => 2013-09-20 20:45:02 to 2013-10-10 17:40:21 generated 24,536,885 rows

Mailing alert for hosts down

Good afternoon everyone, I'm a security administrator from a French insurance company and me and my collegues are interested in your powerful monitoring tool. I've tested it recently and was amazed by the pretty easy installation of such an intuitive software :-) I've also discovered your splitting editions and your intentions for the future and agree with that. The pricing is correct in front of all the work you (all the devs) have done. The only things I would to know to convince my chief that it's the tool we need, is : do you have a roadmap for the alerting module ? Because, if I've correctly understood, you have done a successful Kickstarter campaign to implement the alerting module, but from my last tests (one of the last free SVN edition, something like r4400) the alerting module wasn't really enabled, even after changing the config.php and setting the mailing alerts (with the right SMTP relay, recipient, etc...). Another question is, when (or how if I've done it wrong ...) do you plan to enable mail alerts for hosts down ? I didn't search in all your archives (only the last months) but I'm sorry if the questions was already asked ... and I'm sorry for my rough English ... Client \ Server Observium

Hi All, I was wondering if there was a way to get a copy of Observium to be a collector and then somehow send that data to a display server. Our issue is that we would like to collect the stats as close to the devices as possible and then transport them over to the central server where we can view them all. Hi Guys, As we talked about in April, to sustain development we need to develop a revenue stream. The temporary solution in April was the Kickstarter, which funded 6 months of development for the alerting system. To fund development after that, we've decided to try a relatively inexpensive subscription scheme. http://www.observium.org/Edition_Split The intention is to provide enough for free to keep the people who wouldn't ever pay happy, and try to keep the price low enough that everyone else can pay without worrying too much about it. We've set the subscription at £100/year. If you were a Kickstarter supporter, you'll get a free subscription for a while, because we're nice like that. Comments? :) adam.
