Hoping someone could point me in the right direction. When I click on the Temperature Under Health on the main heading I get a red "No Auth" on all the mini graphs. I also I see "Session Expired, Please Login Again!" when I roll over the device name on that same page. This happen every time I perform this action no matter if I have just logged in. This only happen for Temperature under the main heading. I don't see the behavior on any other graph. Even when I go into any device click Health and then Temperature I can see the graph and do not get the "No Auth". I am using ldap against AD for my authentication. I've looked at the apache logs and don't see any glaring issues. PHP and Apache should have defaults. I sess the sessions in /var/lib/php/session/ being created. Any suggestions on troubleshooting this odd behavior? Thanks in advance for any assistance. Thanks, Chip

Some problems with device polling.

Hi! There is a problem with some devices. polling fulfills, but no changes to the mysql. sql query configured correctly (if i run in devug mode ./poller.php -d -h xx and its screen output manually add to the database - all works correctly) remove the device and add it again does not help with such a device, the above problems have -- Sergey Tkachenko CTO Soniko-Svyaz +38-050-3266737

Hi Marco, If you no longer trust your database, copy over the rrd folder, then run add_device.php for all your hosts. You could do this with a for loop if you extract the hostnames from your old devices table. That said, I doubt there will be much wrong with your devices table, your plan should work just as well. Is there a guide on how to best setup alerts for all devices? svn update not fully working (v0.14.2.5106)

Hi guys Currently I wonder why I can't update to the latest version from SVN? We have 2 observium instances, if I do a "svn update" one installation does not update to the latest version. It will always update the revision (5106) but not to the latest v0.14.3.5106, instead it will have v0.14.2.5106. *** [root@vsrvobs01 observium]# svn update At revision 5106. Alert Emails

Ive followed the documentation but cannot get email alerting working. I see nothing in my mail log from Observium and other mailings on the system work without issue (RANCID, using the mail command from shell) so I believe it related to something I am doing wrong in Observium or PHP. It also looks as though whats in config.php.default doesn't match whats documented in the wiki. Ill gladly update it once I figure out which is correct. Possible to ignore interfaces without description with the bad_if_ filter?

Hello list. As the topic suggests. My enviroment somewhat relies on ports in the network having a interface description, graphing, billing, provisioning, rancid, and a few other stuffs gets activated whenever a description get set. I would like Observium to behave in such manner aswell - ive put up a feature request on this in Jira but now that ive read up abit more i realise that this could possible be achieved through the built-in filters. Has anyone built a smart regexp or something with the already available filters? We run a juniper-setup with alot of pretty beefy routers so there is about 600 interfaces on each machine, where i would like to graph at tops 100 of them, the 100 with a description :) And thanks for a great monitoring tool!
