SNMP Location can't have forward-slash

Hi, Just noticed a small issue, when an SNMP 'location' contains a forward slash (/) then the link doesn't work in the location's menu, for example: With a location set to "THN/TFM-10/C5" on the device, the link is auto-generated as "http://<server>/devices/location=THN%2FTFM-10%2FC5/" which then results in the error: Not Found The requested URL /devices/location=THN/TFM-10/C5/ was not found on this server. Currently running: Observium 0.12.4.2956 Apache 2.2.20 (Ubuntu) PHP 5.3.6-13ubuntu3.7 MySQL 5.1.62-0ubuntu0.11.10.1-log This isn't critical at all, but since I just noticed it I thought I'd mention it :) Cheers! Possibility too acknowledge items in Overview

Hi All We see alot of jabber on the Overview page that is not really necessary and makes it hard too differ important information from trivial information. We would like too be able too Acknowledge items in the Overview so that it is not spammed with ports that are down for known reasons. Perhaps you could comment on the Ack and/or mark with a category (maintenance, power outage etc etc). Additionally I think that keywords in descriptions could generate different results in the overview (like ports are aggregated but for states). So that ports that are marked for installation and waiting for link should be hidden when down and shown green when up so that the provisioning team notices this and can take action. I see somewhere you can define a regexp that will look at the interface description and when true would inverse the up/down relationship. NLNOG Ring

Hi All, I'd like to direct your attention to another project run by some friends of mine: the NLNOG RING. The project is based around the goals of making network debugging much easier. When trying to debug complex problems and plan future upgrades, a point of view from outside your network is absolutely essential. Seeing what others see is incredibly useful when dealing with a variety of network problems. Well known examples are 'it works for even numbered ip address, but not for odd numbered ip address via this and this route'. To streamline such debugging the NLNOG RING was formed. In essence the project is very simple: you make a (virtual) machine available to the RING, and you gain access on all other servers which are part of the RING. The project currently has 98 nodes, located on 89 participant networks in 24 countries. The RING provides tools to trivially launch a ping from all these nodes and summarize the results to, other examples are distributed tracerouting and MTU testing. The RING also maintains a record of latencies between nodes using smokeping to help identify historic problems. Before applying to join, keep the following requirements in mind: * The organisation you work for has BGP routers connected to the "Default Free Zone". * Your organisation has its own ASN, IPv4 and IPv6 prefix(es). * You have enable or configure rights on those routers. * You have permission from your organisation to become involved in the NLNOG RING. Subdirectory

Is it possible to use observium on a webserver as a subdirectory, i.e. https://server/observium? I'm a small shop that's part of a bigger organization & I don't have access to DNS to create a subdomain. Apologies if this has been answered already. I did a quick search & saw a similar question asked, but the thread didn't seem to contain an answer I could see. TIA

Observium seams to do everything right for this OID, but it is not getting this oid, it is getting the "old" one. And there I get real percents back. Attached is a Screenshot of that MIB part. The real question is in my opinion, how to get the new OID to work. The Processor discovery as it is now can in my opinion only detect the old one. I have installed the software and I get the login page bur every link I click on after that gives a 404 error. This is a Ubuntu server and the default web is only the monitoring software. I made the updates according to the install instructions.
