control device ports via SNMP

Hello I've been looking through the features of Observium but couldn't find out whether it includes functionality to disable or enable individual ports on a (monitored) switch/router via SNMP. I understand that this lies outside the scope of the software, but I thought I'd ask just in case it's there (or can be enabled optionally) and I missed it. If it isn't, could anybody recommend a management/monitoring software able to provide this? Best regards Bogdan

Frontpage map show province with ISO 3166-2

Hello! Observium works for me like a charm, but I have a problem with the frontpage map: I can't get a province with a region ISO 3166-2 code (e.g. DE-SH) as a full map on the frontpage. Only working configuration is to show the whole country (e.g. DE) which is a bit to big. All co-locations of our servers are too close to each other (20 miles) , so that you can't figure out on the map, which location is which. My config.php so far: $config['frontpage']['map']['resolution'] = "provinces"; $config['frontpage']['map']['region'] = "DE-SH"; $config['frontpage']['map']['dotsize'] = "1"; error-message: Request map does not exist. Is my config file incorrect or does it not work? Or is there another method to zoom in on the map? Thanks for help Kind Regards Florian

Error drawing Graph

Hello everyone, I'm having strange issue, and spend a lot of time troubleshooting this without any success. Getting error 'error drawing graph' only for some devices only - EX4200 switches, which are located in the remote datacenter. After I started seeing issue, I install another switch here in local datacenter and added it to observium and its working good. Could be the issue in latency - the delay is about 30ms? discovery and poller scripts run good, the only thing I noticed that for the devices that don't work I in rrd/<device_name>/ files port-###.rrd are missing. The CPU and Memory graphs are working good, only network graphs are having errors. Thanks, Roman.

This is most certainly related to network conditions or polling frequency. The poller must run every 5 minutes. Make sure you are running the latest version (svn update) Adam. I didn't know that the screenshot will not be able in the mail. So I have problems with all graphs on all devices. My graphs are OK but they have some hole. Some time 30min, some time more. Hi List. At present i have installed the latest versión of Observium and i am trying to configure an alert for a temperature sensor of a cisco catalyst and i do not how. On the other hand, i don´t have any alert in the home screen (right upper corner Alerts: 0), it is normal? i have rebooted some devices and disconnect some ports and the alerts still 0, but the emails with alerts are send correctly. Cisco asa5510 ipsec tunnels

Hi list!! Configuring my asa device I have encounter a problem with the tunnels ipsecs. When I view the active tunnels on the observium interface, I see not only the actives, I see other tunnels ipsec or remote vpns connections ipsec that is not active really.
