eth0, vlan, missing port speeds

Hi All, this is a random question, I’ve just noticed on my Observium that the is no Port speeds for any of our Ethernet ports on our debian servers ? but also, the is no Ports speeds for any of our VLAN interfaces on our mikrotik switches either ? I don’t have any event-logs showing the speeds changed or anything? where should i begin looking why the speeds have just vanished? Regards Simon

Design idea

Before we spend to much time setting something up I want to make sure that I was on the right track. We have many wireless ubnt unifi APs and there snmp on the APs themselves sucks. But the wireless controller does have a nice API what print out a json output listing every client connect to AP managed by the controller. The json has the mac, connection time, connection duration, AP currently connection to and much more. The idea is to use the unix/linux agent on the controller to connection to API on localhost and download json and clean data up. The observium can poll the unix agent and chart/display the data. Is this crazy or am I on the right track.

Just for grins, I checked mine this morning before running the latest round of updates (which I usually only do manually once a week), and my TS-269L's serial was showing correctly in the inventory screen... was there really anything broken? SNMP Synology vs. QNAP

Need more info about Observium and IPMI

Hello Observium community, I am using Observium Professional version and I have some computers that only support IPMI protocol and not SNMP. Observium's wiki is very ambiguous and there is not enough information about usage of IPMI in Observium. Did anyone manage to successfully use IPMI together with Observium? It would be very nice to get more information about this and maybe even a guide on how you add a device that only supports IPMI protocol. Best regards, Henry Collins

Scheduled downtime or maintence

Hi, Ive got a customer location that they have to reboot machines nightly (old Asterisk boxes that have not been upgraded yet), and so obviously this throws a wrench in on alerts. Im not seeing anything in the documentation to where you can schedule downtime or maintenance, like Nagios let's say does. One thing I thought of was disable the poller during this window, then enable it back with a script, pretty janky but that would work for now. Is this something planned on the roadmap and have others shown any interest in this? Thanks
