added a HP server over snmp

Hi all, I have just added a HP server. added SNMP and set it up. The server connected fine to observium. Now i see Observium has support for HP but the data im getting is pretty mandatory server stuff so im wondering what the HP support is added? or did i do it wrong? As an example i was hoping to get some RAID info on the RAID 1 running on the server with the controller that was shipped. But all i see is C:\ which won't alert me if a disk fail.

odd install issue with the DB

Observium is showing my all server at :- R. are page counts possible on a per user basis (in adressbook) of a Ricoh / Aficio MP c305 printer?

We got an Aficio MP C305 Printer where we want to get a monthly automated report of printed pages (bw/color) based on a per user basis (addressbook / print code) to make a print accounting possible. We still can count total numbers (also of all in one types like fax, copy, print and divided in colour/bw counts), but no counts on a per user basis. Does anybody knows whether it is generally possible to have per user counts (based on printer addressbook and user print code) and if so is there an oid? We do not need that functionality directly in observium… cause this is not monitoring but reporting, but it would be nice to get them via snmp automated monthly. New Install Alerts Rebuild not Matching

Guys, We've done a fresh install for a customer and created a sample offline rule however when we run the rebuild the output states it matched however under the alert checks the device count is still 0 We've just recreated the DB and all devices with the same outcome. geomapping stopped to work

Hello, geomapping stopped to work after (I think) a svn update. With the same overidden (working well) location configured in about 100 devices, the new devices are not mapped (message: not found) the geolocalization is enabled. I solved with the lat, lot values. Geolocation bugs

Hi Adam and everyone! I have two small bugs to report. I'm using Observium CE 0.15.6.6430, I'm closely following the mail list, but if the below mentioned glitches/bugs were between solved, then sorry for wasting your time. 1. I had this problem for longer, but now I found the way to formulate it properly. We have sysLocation strings alike this: Qualitis Iroda / Iroda - 1131 Budapest, Béke utca 116 [47.541773,19.085868] Now when I check the "Geolocation" tab in the "Device Settings" I see following in the "Last Update Status": Geocoding ENABLED, try detect device coordinates: by REVERSE query (API: MAPQUEST, LAT: 47.541773, LON: 19.085868) - FOUND GEO API REQUEST: http://open.mapquestapi.com/nominatim/v1/reverse.php?format=json&accept-lan… GEOLOCATION: Hungary (Country), Unknown (State), Budapesti kistérség (County), Budapest (City) GEO COORDINATES: 47.54163 (Latitude), 19.0859 (Longitude) The problem as I see, is that after using the coordinates given in the sysLocation string to make a reverse query to lookup the Country, State, County etc., the geocoding API returns some coordinates which corresponds to THEIR found geolocation. But the geocoding API sometimes can give really offset coordinates, especially for some bigger sites, where it gives back the entrance. So if there are coordinates specified in sysLocation, then they should be used to pinpoint the device, no matter what the geocoding API says. PS: the documentation also says: "But observium anyway will store in DB specified coordinates." But this is currently not true. 2. I stumbled upon this while trying to get the data out of the Last Update Status Field for previous bug. The fields in the "Geolocation" tab in the "Device Settings" are marked with attribute disabled="disabled", and if something should be made writable, then this attribute is removed. I would suggest using the readonly attribute, as that would enable focusing and selecting from the given field. Not to mention the pure logic would tell the same, those fields are unmodifiable, so readonly should be used. Regards, Attila

Dear list, Observium reports sub-interfaces as down even if the parents are administratively down, ex.: set interfaces ge-0/0/0 disable set interfaces ge-0/0/0 unit 0 family ethernet-switching port-mode \ access This raises an alert for ge-0/0/0.0 Is it possible to ignore sub-interfaces if the parents are admin down? Missing memory history

I recently made some device changes and ran *discovery.php -h all* and *poller.php -h all*. Shortly after that I noticed that on one Windows 7 Pro box I'm monitoring, I no longer have any physical memory in the memory graph, just virtual memory. The entire history of it disappeared, and it hasn't started new or anything like that. I checked permissions on that workstation's rrd directory, and all looks good. I do have some backups of the rrd directories. Should I restore?
