Win2019 Server called Win 2016

Howdy Adam, et al., So I deployed a couple of Win2019 servers yesterday and of course added them to my monitoring.... and they are being shown as Win 2016 servers. Checked the poller debug of WMI and that's correctly indicating... but I suspect Microsoft's choice to still call it NT 6.3 may be throwing things off. update fail to 9643

Hello I tried to upgrade from to latest (9643) version. The svn update was fine, but the discovery.php give me this error: ./discovery.php -u PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '[' in /opt/observium/includes/defaults.inc.php on line 383 What i did wrong? :) Thanks Br Laszlo

Possible pseudowire bug - Backup PSW's classed as DOWN/ALERT, results in broken PW alerting

Hi List, Just a quick one to check that I do not need to configure something extra for this to work? We have lots of Pseudowire's configured using IOS-XR, IOS-XE and IOS, and these all show in Observium with the pwID, and the Local and Remote details (so Observium is correctly matching the stanzas across the two endpoints as being the same service) which is awesome :) However when configuring 'Backup' Pseudowire, the standby/backup Pseudowire is shown as 'Down' and 'Alert' in Observium? This is really confusing for support staff who do not understand if down/alert means something is wrong or not, and as such we are currently unable to monitor any pseudowire and have all alerts disabled for them :( The attached image shows an example, of how all the PWs to the secondary device are reported as down and in an alert state! They are all down but in the normal state as standby/backup pseudowires. Below shows the output for the PW states, and it can be seen that a status of 'sec' and 'SB' is provided for Standby/Backup (the Pseudowire is explicitly configured with a 'Backup' path etc) pseudowires. Host Description in Notifications

Hi All, Has anyone else experienced trouble getting the Description field (Host Properties -> Device Settings) to appear in notifications? Looking at the notification templates there is an "ENTITY_DESCRIPTION" field, but it doesn't seem to get used in our installation; i.e. the alerts simply show "Entity" and then "Condition" skipping it entirely. The descriptions are filled in and show in the Observium interface. As a shot in the dark I tried to customize the template per the README in the template directory & experimented with "DEVICE_DESCRIPTION", but also no bueno. -Brian

syslog filters

Hi, I'm using feature syslog on observium 18.10.9472, but unable it filters for messages. $config['syslog']['filter'][] = '%%10DRV_DEM/5/FAN WARNING(t):- 1 - Info: Fan4 is ERROR now.'; i restarted rsyslog service The syslog read entries on a mysql table. somebody can helpme? -- Saluda cordialmente

nut-snmp

Hi list, Not a critical thing... Just wondered if anyone had done any config to get the nut-snmp "package" to be discovered in Observium. I'm running Observium CE 18.9.9420. Observium not fully updating

I'm running Observium on CentOS 6.10. The PHP version on the machine is currently 7.0.16. When I run the "svn update" command it completes correctly. However, when I run "discovery.php -u", I get the following error: PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected end of file in /opt/observium/includes/discovery/functions.inc.php on line 164 I tried with both the stable and current versions, but get the same results. Thank you for any help.

Observium client for windows?

Observiums biggest weakness is its inability to auto-discover windows. LLDT needs to be integrated into the design. Or being able to piggy back off of Symantec or bigfix for data.
