well then if nobody else out there gets it right, then that just screams "opportunity" for Observium! we can just all hope that it doesn't wind up giving Adam Mike and Tom too much brain damage. :-) R. PS: DNS separation I could see as logical for VDCs. But for VRFs? That's banannas to have to try do. Don't even know that it'd fully function. (e.g., traps etc. are pinned to source from just one vrf; how to map back the event blame of $other_vrf_"device" as culprit?) Screws loose in San Jose, for sure. Note that we can't assist with rhel/centos installs. Our recommended and tested platform is Debian/Ubuntu. Adam. it appears that (non-global) VRFs (esp. wrt. RIB OIDs) somehow are seen by OBS only in my ASR 1ks and horde of c3750x. comparing with a handful of v6.1 Nexii 7k (and their vdc's), along with some archaic-but-still-v15 c3560s, the returned set is null. q1) need for the ugliness of snmp context mapping per vrf? q2) if so, is OBS prepared to iterate over the multiple communities per device? curious, R.

I very much doubt reinstalling mysql will make any difference at all. You probably want to try adding a user to mysql with the correct user/pass first. We do give a. inserting default schema

Hi, I am building an Observium server on a Dell server (not a vm) and have run into the problem that when I run the command, php includes/update/update.php I get: ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user observium@localhost (using passwd: YES) Now, when I select user, host from mysql.user; I DO see the observium user. No, I cannot log into the mysql with observium user, however. So, I know I'm close, but I'm not there yet, any assistance would be great. Its not clear what your problem is from your description. I can say the issue is 99% likely to be fixed by following the install guide properly. Adam. RRD Graphing problems

Hi Guys, I am having a problem displaying data in the graphs. If I select an interface that has traffic reported and drill down to the graph I see all the graph entries with -nan but if I select the RealTime graph I can see the traffic flow. Can anyone explain why this would be and how I can resolve this? Thanks for any assistance with this. Regards, Gerry

There is no community indexing for the vrf MIBs as far as I have seen. It's quite common for Cisco to not bother implementing what they consider to be service provider MIBs on enterprise hardware. This is probably something you need to direct to Cisco. Note that we currently consider the vrf tracking in Observium to be broken and unusable. Adam.
