Arista Light levels reading

Hi We are trying to monitor the light levels in fibre ports in our Arista switches but looks like it is no managed properly if we compare with a Brocade router. See attached the screenshoots for each device. For Arista, we see the "DOM TX" and "DOM RX" entries taken as "Power" but in Brocade they are taken as "dBm". I can provide the database output if required. I can see differences in the sensor table for sensors from Arista and Brocade devices. Any advice regarding how to fix this? With RH 6.6 and 6.7 (I've not tried earlier) I've found that putting realStorageUnits 0 in snmpd.conf (and obviously restarting the daemon) appears to provide a fix. It's noted in bug BZ#654384 <https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=654384> here: https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/5/ht… It may be worth amending the FAQ ? -- Ric

Hi!, is anyone using external authentication with kerberos?, I have an old version (4586) running without issues with sles11+apache+kerberos but trying to run a current release (7203) on the same host, it's like apache doesn't accept the user/password pair (keeps asking for them). Alerting - match multiple ASNs ?

Hi, What’s the correct syntax for an entity match which will match a selection of ASNs? I need an alert checker which will look for a specific set of ASNs and alert for any BGP session being not-up. Currently for our iBGP we use: [Conditions] bgpPeerState ne established bgpPeerAdminStatus notequals stop [Device] * [Entity Match] bgpPeerRemoteAs match <ourASN> This works perfectly. Now – what I’m after is that I need a new checker which will match eBGP ASNs like 174,3356,2914,5580 etc. all in one rule (the ‘important’ ASNs, for want of a better term). I have tried a selection of things but I’m obviously missing what the logical ‘or’ element should be in this case, as all my attempts at using multiple ASNs within a match just result in zero matches. Error after update to revision 7236

Hi everyone, We've just updated to revision 7236 and got the following error. -- Updating database/file schema 251 -> 252 ... (db) done (1 errors). In /opt/observium/logs/update-errors.log we see the following error [2015/12/09 19:35:36 +0000] discovery.php(19989): Query: ALTER TABLE `authlog` CHANGE `user_agent` `user_agent` TEXT CHARACTER SET utf8 COLLATE utf8_general_ci NULL; [2015/12/09 19:35:36 +0000] discovery.php(19989): Error: (1054) Unknown column 'user_agent' in 'authlog' Should we do anything for this? Cisco ASA - inaccurate traffic for one specific interface

Hi guys, I've added a new ASA to Observium. Quagga with SNMP support.

Hello, Does anyone have a experience with snmp support in Quagga on Debian 7/8? I installed Quagga with SNMP support (smux or agentx) and configured Quagga to use snmp, but Observium doesn't see anything except an AS number. In Properties > MIBs section there are a couple of errors like: - bgpLocalAs.0 1m 28s ago SNMP error - .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.3.1.2.196608 (608 to 619) SNMP error On the other hand, in a similar configuration in VyOS everything works fine. I'm not sure if it depends on patched quagga on VyOS or a misconfiguration in my environment. Regards! Gabriel
